UBC AUS: Brushes and Buchanan

DATE
Thursday December 3, 2020

The UBC Arts Undergraduate Society, SEEDS Sustainability Program, UBC Arts & Culture District and other partners have collaborated for Brushes and Buchanan, the second Annual Community Student Expression Project! 16 designs will be chosen and students have the opportunity to paint the 16 Buchanan pillars!

Unleash your creativity and design an art installation piece to engage the community in a conversation around a sustainable future on the topic of UN Sustainable Development Goals. The art piece should make a connection between sustainability and sustainability by addressing one global challenge related to poverty, inequality, climate, prosperity, and peace and justice and aim to encourage a call to action in achieving these sustainable goals. It should demonstrate a unique approach in addressing these goals.

Design proposals are due by December 3rd. The painting days will be in the second week of January 2021 and the winning design will be chosen by a collective student vote. The chosen winner will get the chance to donate to a charity of your choice, with a limit of $500, and will be featured on official Arts platforms.
