Kasim’s research develops an intersectional account of the emergence of racial neoliberalism in the United Kingdom in relation to Black and Asian British coming-of-age narratives, and has teaching interests that include neoliberalism, Islamophobia and terrorism studies, and postcolonial writing.

Kasim currently teaches ASTU 100: Arts Studies in Research and Writing in the BMS and Media Studies stream in the Coordinated Arts Program.
